Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area
Idaho
NEW FOR 2011-2012
Road crews have completely rebuilt the Bogus Basin and the Pioneer Roads creating a long awaited and much needed smooth surface.
In addition, crews have also paved the slow vehicle turnouts.
Road crews have also paved the guest drop-off area behind the Bogus Creek Lodge.
They've also paved lots #1 and #3.
In addition, both lots and the Buttercup lot have been enlarged creating an additional capacity of 500 cars. Parking on the mountain will roughly total 2,400 spaces.
Leave the Shuttle to Us
Bogus Basin will have shuttles combing the base area parking, the Pioneer Lodge area and other parking lots to deliver the guests from the parking areas to the lodges.

Bogus or Bust!
If parking concerns you, then you'll like our beefed up bus schedule. Buses will leave scheduled stops in the Treasure Valley area more frequently on weekends and holidays. Also, the Bogus Basin mid-week bus returns for the 1998-99 season.

Easy Rider
Mechanics have installed a new DC Drive Unit on the Superior Chairlift (Chair 3) this will improve the lift's reliability and offer a smoother ride with fewer stops.

Slope Improvements
Crews have relocated and widened the Buttercup Cat Track for improved skier traffic. Several large rocks have been removed from Shaker Ridge and engineers have widened it creating a more skier and rider-friendly avenue.

Riders Rule!
For the loyal snowboarding crowd, there is a new half pipe in Playboy Meadows. Plans are to maintain it with a Pipe Dragon, and increased maintenance between grooming.

Food Glorious Food!
Work crews have remodeled lodge kitchens creating better efficiency. Both lodges will offer buffet style service for better guest access with an increased emphasis on quality and service.

A Yurt & Thai
One size fits all! This new outdoor dining facility will attract your taste buds.with smells of Asian style cooking. This new Alpine Yurt will be located at the base of Cascade and Alpine runs. There will be weekend service and depending upon demand, weekday service.

The Skinny on Skinny Skis
Work crews have moved the Nordic building and have expanded the parking. The Nordic building (with indoor plumbing) is a temporary shelter. Construction of the permanent Nordic Center is scheduled to begin in the summer of 1999.
